Welcome to the First issue of The AVP! This Newsletter is dedicated to all things Apple Vision Pro. We’ll explore the latest news and information for visionOS and spatial computing.

We’ll curate stories and articles from around the Web, add some commentary and original content from time to time, and deliver it right to your inbox!

We’ll look at apps, tips and tricks for work and productivity as well as have fun with movies, games and entertainment!

I’m wicked-excited for all the emerging uses and use cases for Apple Vision Pro. How to enhance work productivity, education and learning. How we’ll enjoy and immerse ourselves in entertainment, games! There will also be crazy categories developers and industries haven’t even thought of yet!

I’m sure in the beginning, there will be cute, and simple apps that just demonstrate and showcase the technology.  Let’s see what is possible with visionOS and a true spatial computing platform.

Remember when the App Store was first released for iPhone?  We had fart apps, and apps that were using sensors in a way that have never been used before. For example, we had a beer app in which you could tip your iPhone as if you were pouring a frosty beverage.  We had apps that would simulate a pump action shotgun just to hear the sound of the action using the motion sensors.  Remember when there was a music app where you could literally blow into the microphone and cover virtual holes in some sort of musical mystical fairy flute.

While these were all novel and fascinating and some just silly and useless, they were important. It was important for these to start the process of exploring what is possible. To expand users and developers curiosities and creativity.

I suspect there may be dozens of similar apps and experiences in the beginning. Remember, visionOS brings a whole new dimension of what users can do, and how they can interact with elements in a digital space overlayed in the physical world.
